The one-way amplifier can be operated with
or without a tracer pin.
With tracer pin (attached via rubber adaptor)
Touch any aggregate (ex. alternator) and
other noises won’t have any influence on your
testing procedure. You can easily detect a
defective bearing.
Without tracer pin
Noise is transferred without touching an
aggregate. Unintended negative influences
caused by streams of air through the car’s fan
are amplified and will be made audible by the
headphones.
Testing with six-way amplifier
The six-way amplifier can be used for testing:
 hard to reach spots
 up to six spots simultaneously
 when testing while driving
Perfect for checking rattling noise from the axles.
Battery
 Push down the cover of the battery
compartment gently and shove it backwards.
 Replace battery.
Check for the correct polarity.
Connection (Photos are just for reference!)
The connection of the probe heads has to be
carried out in accordance to the colored and
numeric scheme provided. Only then you will
be able to detect and locate the noise
precisely.
Mount the needed number of probe heads on
the car and plug their 3.5mm input jacks into
the six-way amplifier’s sockets.
Connect your headphones with the amplifier.
