Interline Transfer
Interline Transfer is only used in CCD sensors.
With a single pixel clock the charge from each pixel is transferred to the
vertical shift register. At this time, the light sensitive elements are again
collecting light. The charge in the vertical registers is transferred line by
line into the horizontal shift register. Between each (downward) transfer of
the vertical register, the horizontal register transfers each line the output
stage, where charge is converted to a voltage, amplified and sent on to
the ADC. When all lines in the image have been transferred to the
