• Remove the leg shield cover/rear leg shield. (

• Remove the starter relay.
Apply 12 volts to terminals

, and measure for continuity
between terminals
C
and
D
as shown. If the starter relay clicks
and continuity is found, the relay is operating correctly.

• Disconnect the starter relay coupler.
Measure the starter relay resistance between the terminals. If
the resistance is out of specification, replace the starter relay
with a new one.
