1G-14 Fuel System:
Fuel Tank Inlet Valve Inspection

Before servicing fuel system, be sure to
observe “Precautions on Fuel System
Service”.
Check fuel tank inlet valve for the following.
If any damage or malfunction is found, replace.
• Damage
• Smooth opening and closing
Fuel Pump On-Vehicle Inspection

Before servicing fuel system, be sure to
observe “Precautions on Fuel System
Service”.
1) Remove filler cap and turn ignition switch (2) ON.
Then fuel pump operating sound should be heard
from fuel filler (1) for about 2 seconds and stop. Be
sure to install fuel fill cap after checking.
If the check result is not satisfactory, advance to
“Fuel Pump and Its Circuit Check in Section 1A”.
2) Turn ignition switch OFF, and wait for 10 minutes or
more.
3) Fuel pressure should be felt at fuel feed hose (1) for
about 2 seconds after ignition switch ON.
If fuel pressure is not felt, advance to “Fuel Pressure
Check in Section 1A”.

5. O-ring : Do not reuse.
6. Fuel level sensor (Fuel sender gauge)

Apply oil.
