MOTORCYCLE CLEANING
WA

HING THE MOTORCYCLE
When w

shing the motorcycle,
follow the instructions below:
1. Remove dirt
a
nd mud from the
motorcycle with cool running
w
a
ter. You m

y use
a
soft
sponge or brush. Do not use

a
rd m
a
teri
a
ls which c

n
scr

tch the p

int.
2. W
a
sh the entire motorcycle
with
a
mild detergent or c
a
r
w
a
sh so
a
p using
a
sponge or
soft cloth. The sponge or cloth
should be frequently so
a
ked in
the so
a
p solution.
NOTE: Clean the motorcycle with
cool water immediately after
riding on road salt or riding along
the coast. Be sure to use cool
water because warm water can
hasten corrosion.
NOTE: Avoid spraying or allowing
water to flow over the following
places:

Ignition switch

Spark plugs
•
Fuel tank cap
•
Throttle body
•
Fuel injection system
•
Brake master cylinders
•
Throttle cable boots
