EXTBUF Errors
If something goes wrong, Satlink will reply with
ERROR
Syntax error. Either the telemetry indicator (TX1) was missing, or the command was
incomplete.
ERROR TIMEOUT
More than 30 seconds passed since the last data byte was inserted in the buffer. Data
inserted prior to the timeout will get transmitted.
ERROR BUFFER FULL
More data was inserted than could fit. Data inserted prior to the overflow will get
transmitted.
16.4.
Random Transmissions
TX2 Random in the SL3-XMTR-1 does not need to be enabled for the unit to transmit data on the
random channel since it is expected to be controlled by the connected logger and the TX2
TXNOW command.
The random transmission still needs to be setup with the correct satellite type, channel, ID,
power output, and other desired settings.
The logger controls the sending of data and the specific random transmissions, Random Normal,
Random Burst and Random alarm With the TX2 TXNOW command.
