GOES 300 with Omni
5
GOES 1200 with YAGI
10

Eumetsat/CGMS/… YAGI
10
Eumetsat/CGMS/… Dome
14
Eumetsat/CGMS/… Omni
TX2 Enable=Off
Disables automatic random transmissions.
Random transmissions will instead be
triggered by the logger.
Note: if you have set up Satlink to make its own measurements and transmit the data, the data
you send from another logger will be added to the end of the message.
You can also set the Satlink to add some internal data to the end of the message such as battery
voltage, latitude, longitude, station name, etc.
Normally you will set the Satlink to factory defaults prior to issuing configuration commands to
ensure that all the other settings are correct. The command is “Factory defaults”
If you precede a command with ! the Satlink will not echo the command but will provide only the
response.
Examples:
>!Factory defaults
>!TX1 Enable = on
>!TX1 Scheduled Time=00:02:50
>!TX1 Satellite type = 0
>!TX1 Channel = 195
>!Tx1 Output Power = 1.25
>!TX1 Satellite ID=12345678
>!TX2 Enable=off
16.3.
Transmit Data
Satlink is setup to transmit at the scheduled time and interval in the configuration. About 60
seconds before the transmission, Satlink will take any data in its transmission buffer and encode
it for transmission. If the buffer is empty, Satlink will transmit the message “Data Buffer Empty”
along with some diagnostic information.
An external logger/device loads data into the transmission buffer using the EXTBUF command.
EXTBUF refers to Satlink's external buffer. This is the buffer that is used to hold transmission
data from another logger. For example, when Satlink is combined with Sutron's Xpert data
logger, Xpert will put transmission data into Satlink's external buffer. Satlink will transmit that
data at the appropriate time.
