Chapter 3: Maintenance and Component Installation

3.3 Motherboard Components

Note

: Check the Supermicro website for recommended memory modules.

Important:

 Exercise extreme care when installing or removing DIMM modules to prevent 

any possible damage.

Attention:

 This system requires the installation of heat spreaders to the memory RAM.

Memory Support

The X11SDV-4C-TP8F motherboard supports up to 256GB of DDR4 ECC/non-ECC RDIMM 
memory with speeds of up to 2400MHz in four memory slots. Populating these DIMM slots 
with memory modules of the same type and size will result in interleaved memory, which will 
improve memory performance.

Note

: Check the Supermicro website for recommended memory modules.
