SATA Ports
One Serial ATA (SATA) 3.0 connector is through the sled backplane on J22 for 2280 SATA
M.2 connection. Additionally, there is one SATA 3.0 receptacle connector at I-SATA6 for SATA
DOM connection.
Note:
The system can only support SATA M.2 connections - not PCI-E 3.0.
Note:
I-SATA6 is a Supermicro SuperDOM. This is a yellow SATA DOM connector with power
pins built in and do not require separate external power cables. This connector is backward-
compatible with non-Supermicro SATADOMs that require an external power supply.
Note:
I-SATA2 J22 requires an Add-On Module (AOM) for a hard drive connection.
Note:
For more information on the SATA HostRAID configuration, please refer to the Intel
SATA HostRAID user's guide posted on our website at

NVMe Ports
Four PCI-E 3.0 connections are through the sled backplane on J22 for NVMe U.2 connection.
