Sun StorEdge 3000 Family Installation, Operation, and Service Manual • March 2004

For redundancy across separate channels, you can also create a logical drive
containing drives distributed over separate channels. You can then partition the
logical unit into one or several partitions.

To reassign drives and add additional local or global spares on your

preconfigured array, you must first unmap and then delete the existing logical
drives, and then create new logical drives. For more information on deleting a
