Note –

Before you proceed with the firmware upgrade see:

“To Replace the CPU

Modules” on page 17

Your first planning decision is to determine the firmware version you want on your
upgraded system. In most cases, this should be the firmware in the latest software
release.

Note –

If you intend to use an earlier M2 firmware release, you should still

temporarily install the latest M2 ILOM, and then downgrade to the release you want
to use. Because you are moving between firmware release streams, the initial move
to M2 ILOM is less likely to encounter problems if you start with the latest M2
ILOM.
