7.2.7 Markers
Setting Markers to working position
Markers are designed for marking the tractor centreline. The distance between the first sowing row and
the marker disc equals ½ sowing width plus ½ the seed row spacing.
Aim not to set the marker disc too aggressive as this may affect the performance of the drill.
To operate:
A manual hydraulic changeover valve is used to change between wing and marker movement.
The markers should be operated in a gentle manner, beware of obstacles
when drilling; turning at the headlands should be carried out with the
markers in the home position.
Pin hole to lock marker
in place for transport.
Disc angle can be changed via M16 bolts to exaggerate or reduce the mark left in the soil.
