The average temperature inside the refrigerator should be about 41
F (5
C).
Choose the thermostat setting according to the desired temperature.
You can stop operation of your appliance by adjusting the thermostat knob to the
0
position.
Please note that there will be different temperatures in the cooling area. The
coldest region is immediately above the vegetable crisper.
The interior temperature also depends on ambient temperature, the frequency
with which the door is opened and the amount of food kept inside.
Frequently opening the door causes the interior temperature to rise. For this
reason, it is recommended to close the door again as soon as possible after use.
Refrigerator compartment
Food storage:
The refrigerator compartment is for the short-term storage of fresh food and
drinks.
Raw meat is best kept wrapped or in a sealed plastic bag near the bottom of the
refrigerator compartment.
Allow hot foods and beverages to cool to room temperature prior to placing them
in the refrigerator.
Defrosting:
The refrigerator compartment defrosts automatically. The thawing water flows
through the drain channel into a collection container at the rear of the appliance.
If the fresh food section goes through a cycle defrost it is normal to see the
formation of frozen water droplets on the evaporator if the water has not
completely fallen off the evaporator.
Check the flow of the thawed water from time to time. The drain hole may
become plugged occasionally. Clean it with a Q-tip or similar item. See figure
below.
