Chapter 6: Setting Up Inputs and Outputs
Step One: Wire the Terminal Block TB2
The
ALARM
output is the way in which the Analyzer may be setup to signal a response through a wired
alarm. The Analyzer is equipped with two alarm outputs, which are located on terminal block TB2. Remove
terminal block TB2 and wire in the standard fashion.

Step Two: Configure the Analyzer
Once the terminal block is wired, wire the next input/output or close the Analyzer door, turn on the
Analyzer, and proceed as follows:
1. Press
SETUP
from the
Main Menu
to access the
SETUP
menu.
2. Using the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow keys, highlight
INPUT/OUTPUT
and press
ENTER
.
3. In the
INPUT/OUTPUT
menu highlight
ALARM OUTPUTS
and press
ENTER
.
4. Press either
AL1
or
AL2
to select an alarm to edit.
5. Press
EDIT
to edit the current alarm setting for the alarm. The setting is highlighted to show that it
can be edited.
To set the
THRESHOLD
level for the
BORON ANY STREAM
or
BORON STREAM X
:
1.
Press the
NEXT
key.
2. Use the
UP
and
DOWN
arrow keys to increment or decrement the highlighted digit.
3. Use the
RIGH
T arrow key to move to the next digit. Press the
NEXT
key when done to save the
threshold value.
Note:
Pressing
EXIT
instead of
NEXT
will exit the alarm output edit menu without
saving any changes to the alarm settings.
