Tools required:
Phillips Screwdriver
Procedure:
Engage the wheel brakes.
Raise the litter to the full up position.
Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the four screws and 4 U-nuts holding the hood cover plate to the base frame
at the head end of the unit.
Remove the black hood grommet around the column cover.
Remove the base hood.
Reverse the above steps to reinstall the hood.
CheCkIng hyDraulIC fluID level
Tools required:
Standard Screwdriver
Phillips Screwdriver
1/8” Allen Wrench
3/4” Open End Wrench
3/8” Open End Wrench
3/16” Allen Wrench
Needle Nose Pliers 7/16” Wrench
Procedure:
Using a standard screwdriver, remove the screw and handle on the Trend crank at the head end of the surgery
platform (see 1033–033–130 Trend Actuator Assembly for part reference).
Remove the base hood assembly (see procedure above).
Remove the jack (see Jack Assembly Removal and Replacement).
Be sure there are no hydraulic leaks. If there are, jack replacement will be necessary.
Lower the jack to the full down position.
Using a 3/4” open end wrench, slowly turn the fill plug located on the side of the reservoir counterclockwise to allow
excess system pressure to vent. Remove the fill plug.
The hydraulic fluid should be visible at the bottom of the fill hole. If it is not, add Mobil Aero HFA hydraulic fluid
(Stryker part number 2020-070-475) until the fluid is visible at the bottom of the fill hole. Replace the fill plug.
Replace the jack.
Reinstall the base hood.
