To disconnect a call, press the red Hang Up button on the “Active Call” page. When a call is disconnected, the
screen will return to the interface the call was initiated from.
Note
Touch the preview screen to expand the preview windows to a larger size. Touching the preview
window again will return to the normal user interface.
To allow the user on the other end to control the camera, select the “Allow others to control my camera” box. This
will enable to user to pant, tilt, and zoom the camera as they deem necessary.
12.2.4 Private
If your room is not “In Private” and somebody attempts to call you, the connection will happen automatically.
The Private button, located in the bottom right corner of the display, provides control over who can view or
remotely monitor the room where the SwitchPoint Infinity® 2 Control System is located. The Private button
toggles on and off and stays highlighted in orange when Private is On. If Private is On, the system restricts all
inbound and outbound communications. If the SwitchPoint Infinity® 2 Control system is currently connected to
another room within the hospital campus or off-site location, activating the
Private feature will immediately
disconnect the room.
When Private is On, you can still make outgoing calls to other rooms. The Private “On” state is restored after the
call.
If you attempt to connect to a room that is “In Private” the call must be accepted by the callee. If nobody accepts
the call after 30 seconds, the
Calls Status button on the top right hand corner of the “Menu Bar” will display the
text “ Remote Room is Private .”
If your room is “In Private” and somebody attempts to call you, the Calls Status button will appear on the top
right hand corner of the “Menu Bar” displaying the text “ Incoming Call. Press to Accept ” accompanied by an
audible alert.
Note
The Private feature disconnects any room connection.
Note
In order to comply with the privacy provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), “Private” must be turned ON when not actively engaged in a
teleconference with another room within the ORIS or with Off-site locations.
