Note
A user has the option of recording a video on an SDC HD/Ultra. The user also has the option of
using the voice control feature from Sidne. The rest of the actions, namely selecting a source (e.g.,
Endo Cam) and a display (e.g., Monitor 2), are required in order to view a source on a display.
8.1.4 Saving a Simple Route as a Preset
To save a Simple Route as a preset, press the
Save Preset
button located on the right side of the screen.
8.2 Visual Routing
To create a video route using the Visual Routing option, press the
Advanced Routing
button located on the right
side of the main “Video” page.
You will be taken to the “Advanced Routing” page, which contains two tabs: “Visual Routing” and “Text Routing”.
The “Visual Routing” tab is the default tab. This tab contains three main sections: the top section shows the
current route in progress; the lower section shows a list of all available sources, devices, and displays; the lower
right corner displays the video preview pane.
Note that in the figure above each source, device, and display is color coded. Each color represents the video route
available to the specific component. Blue represents a DVI video type, red represents high resolution, and yellow
represents S-video. Some components can be routed through all three video types, and some can only be routed
through one or two. For example, the Endo Cam button has three colored squares, meaning it can be routed
through a DVI video type, high resolution, or S-Video. When possible, the best video type will be chosen for the
specific route.
If a component only has one video type, it can only be routed to other components that share the same
compatibility. The Endo Cam can be routed through every device and display type because it is compatible with
all three video types, where the Wall Cam can only be routed through devices and displays that are compatible
with S-Video.
