Always secure the support surface to the bed frame to prevent the shifting of the product while in use.
•
Always inspect for foreign objects between the support surface and the bed frame. Foreign objects may cause the
support surface to slide on the support platform.
•
Do not use the support surface on a larger or smaller bed frame that does not fit the width, length, or thickness. This is to
avoid the risk of the support surface sliding, patient injury, or interference with moving parts of the bed.
•
Do not use the support surface when gaps are present. The risk of entrapment can develop when the support surface is
placed on incompatible bed frames.

Always be aware of devices or equipment that are placed on the top of the support surface. Damage to the surface may
occur due to the weight of the equipment, heat generated by the equipment, or sharp edges on the equipment.
•
Do not put overlays or accessories inside the cover to avoid the risk of reducing pressure redistribution performance.
To setup the support surface:
1. Remove all shipping and packaging materials from the product before use.
2. Release the tie straps.
3. Unroll and place the support surface with the hose at the foot end of the bed frame.
4. Start with one side of the anchor strap and wrap the strap around the top edge of the litter deck. Push the buckle up
through the slot on the same side.
5. Fasten the buckle and pull the strap to tighten to the bed frame.
6. Place linens on the support surface per hospital protocols.

Unpack the cartons and check all items. Make sure that the product operates before you place into service.

Always plug the power cord into the bed auxiliary outlet or a grounded power respectable. Do not use an extension cord.
•
Do not touch patients and the AST socket on the pump at the same time.
•
Always secure the pump to the bed frame to prevent the shifting of the product while in use.
•
Always check the product before use to make sure there are no broken parts. If the product is damaged call technical
support.
•
Always make sure that you do not exceed the safe working load of the bed frame before you mount the pump.
•
Always connect the AST cable to the AST socket on the pump to avoid the risk of electrical shock.
•
Do not use in the presence of flammable anesthetics, nitrous oxide, or oxygen-rich environments. Risk of explosion can
result.
•
Do not expose this product to liquids while powered as this could result in a severe electrical hazard.
•
This product radiates radio frequency energy. If not setup and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause
harmful interference to other devices in the vicinity.
