STEP 18.
Wrap
two layers
of “Teflon tape” over
the threads of the two right angle #54 Fittings and
over the threads of the pipe thread end of the
2584 and 2585 hoses.
Note: Be carefull not to
put tape over holes of fitting.
If you prefer
“teflon paste” instead, please substitute that over
the tape.
STEP 19.
Install a #54 Fitting into each
threaded
tube
on ends of #2336 Cylinder.
Tighten each
Fitting
stoping when the Fittings are in the posi-
tions shown above.
STEP 20.
Connect #2584 and #2585 hoses to
the #54 fittings as shown in the picture
above...
leave hose connections loose.

STEP 15.
Remove the 2 plastic plugs in the
#2336 Cylinder by loosening with a wrench or pli-
ers.
STEP 16.
Keeping Zerks upward, install Cylin-
der Tube end of #2336 Cylinder into Hitch Exten-
der Channel and Piston Tube end of Cylinder
between Bucket ears.
NOTE: You may need to slide a 1795 Pin into
the “Piston Tube” end and pull to “break
loose” the cylinder paint seal.
STEP 17.
Drive #244 Spring Pin into one end
of each #1795 Pin... center Spring Pins. Shim out
#1795 Pins with #716 Shim Washer. Using #1795
Pins, secure ends of Cylinder to their respective
Hitch Extender Channel and Bucket Ears.
Lock
each Pin with a #878 Lynch Pin (for easier re-
moval) or #244 Spring Pin.
