Insert the connection cable into the GTES
Insertion of the
connection cable
1. Insert the machine-side connection cable via the ca-
ble entry point (1) in the switch housing.
NOTE
The cable screws used must correspond to
at least the protection class of the housing
used, see section 2.14.3.
Preferably metal screws should be used.
When mounting the cable, it is especially im-
portant to ensure that after insertion, the un-
ion nut (2) is thoroughly tightened (depending
on the cable manufacturer, 2 - 3 Nm).
As the plastic sheath remains deformed at
the clamping point in the cable gland with
some cables, retighten the clamping nut as
necessary after 2 weeks.
The cable entry point for the GTES should be
carried out in such a way that no water can
be conducted by the cable to the cable gland.

Connect the contacts
Connection of
the contacts
1. Loosen the screw connection of the cover and re-
move the cover.
2. This applies exclusively to contacts 51 and 54: Re-
move the protection against accidental contact (1).
3. Strip the ends (3) of the connecting cables by 6 mm.
4. Plug the cable in and tighten the screw connection
using a screwdriver (2), see section 6.2.3.
5. If no further connections are to be made: put the
protection against accidental contact in place, close
and screw in the cover directly. Tightening torques,
see section 6.2.3.

ATTENTION
Risk of accidents due to hot surfaces
Contact with the surface of the heating may lead to se-
vere burns.
► Wear personal protective equipment.
► Wait until the surface has cooled.
