2.9 Tailgate
The tailgate closes the cargo space on the rear
side. The tailgate is opened and closed by means
of two double-acting hydraulic cylinders (1).
Depending on the equipment, the hydraulic
cylinders are operated:
•
directly via a double-acting control device
of the tractor (standard equipment),
•
via the control set (optional extra).
When opening the tailgate, the hydraulic
cylinders (1) first vertically lift the tailgate (2) out
of its locking mechanism (3). The tailgate then
swivels upwards to the rear.
When closing the tailgate, it initially lowers due to
its dead weight. The hydraulic cylinders (1) only
come into operation at the last moment to close
the tailgate and lower it vertically onto the locking
pin (4) for being locked.

The tailgate of the conveyor belt wagon can be equipped with a potato or a grain gate.
The grain gate must be tightly closed and secured against
accidental opening by means of the safety bolt during transport
journeys!
