3. Standing at the front of the cabinet, remove the metal air-flow bracket (this bracket
directs fresh air into the fabric switch) from the rear of the fabric switch ( Figure A-2 ).
To do this, remove the screws from the cabinet rails at the right and left sides of the
bracket (1 on each side).
Be sure to retain the screws for when you reinstall the bracket.

4. Issue the OpenVOS commands to bring down the HBA that connects to the
U779V fabric switch. The HBA (that is, the PCI adapter) that supports the fabric
switch is typically the U596V Dual-Port 16-Gb Fibre Channel PCI Adapter.
a. Determine the correct device ID of the U779V fabric switch by issuing the
list_boards -long
request of the
analyze_system
subsystem.
