5. Place the test-pattern transparency face up on the scanner platen, with the
arrows aligned with the black rail (under the glass), and the edge marked
'
This Face Up - A
' along the bottom edge of the scanner glass (closest to
you).
Make sure that the bottom edge of the transparency is at the border of the
platen.

6. Place the A4 sheet of black plastic, glossy-side down, on top of the
transparency. Do not move the transparency.
7. Close the scanner lid.
8. At the bottom of the scanner interface, click
