Safety-related applications
The MC6D motion controller with runtime version 3.5.11.50 can be used for safety-related
applications in connection with STOBER drives along with the Beckhoff TwinSAFE-PLC EL6900
and the corresponding product CODESYS Safety for EtherCAT Safety Module (for EL6900) SL
from the 3S Store. By doing so, you benefit from seamless integration of the programming of
the safety PLC and the MC6 within the AS6.

Please note that using the TwinSAFE-PLC EL6900 means additional license costs will be
incurred per machine.

Device description file for the MC6
To use the MC6 motion controller as a SoftMotion controller in combination with the AS6
AutomationControlSuite, you need a device description file.
Device description files are already included in the scope of delivery of the AS6. If you want to
use an MC6 that is not included in the device repository of the AS6, you can download a
corresponding package from the STOBER Download Center. Click the following link
