You can store data in duplicate by setting the xDoubleStorage value in the Persistence
Manager to TRUE.
NOVRAM
Storage of data is also easy to handle in the NOVRAM of the MC6. However, the size is limited
to a maximum of 128 kB. The memory capacity being used is displayed during the transfer to
the controller. The NOVRAM can be reached through the variable declaration VAR
PERSISTENT RETAIN.

SoftMotion encoder
If you want to combine the MC6 motion controller with a drive controller of the SD6 series, you
can evaluate an encoder simulation on the SD6 interface X120 in the MC6 as SoftMotion
encoder. Note that interface X120 on the SD6 is available only if terminal module XI6 is
installed. The SoftMotion encoder can be used as a master encoder, for example. It is used in
the AS6 project similarly to an Ax_Ref of a SoftMotion axis.
If you use a drive controller of the SI6 or SC6 series, you have the option for each drive
controller of using an HTL encoder at binary inputs as a SoftMotion encoder. If you are working
with an SC6 drive controller in combination with a Lean motor, you can instead use interface X4
as a master encoder.
