Emergency operation
•
In order to avoid strong lateral tension and
thus the risk of tilting, take all corners as
wide as possible.
•
The driver of the towing vehicle must use
particular foresight, respond in good time
and avoid sudden braking actions.
Mechanical brake release
The magnetic brake is located under the cover
below the driver’ s seat.
NOTE
Each truck is supplied with a box of acces-
sories upon delivery from the factory. This
includes, among other items, a bag containing
two screws and the suitable hexagon socket
wrench. These allow you to disable the ma-
gnetic brake mechanically.
WARNING
Once the brake has been mechanically deactivated
as described below, a suitable towing bar must
be used for towing the truck away. Alternatively, a
second truck can be hitched up on the opposite side
to assume the necessary braking function.
1st possibility
Remove the brake by unscrewing the 3
fastening screws (1). Place the brake on one
side.
2nd possibility
Tighten the brake backing plate by screwing 2
screws (M6X55) into the provided boreholes
and tightening.
CAUTION
If the brakes have been mechanically released they
must be tested for perfect assembly and function
during the recommissioning of the vehicle.
Part of this involves checking the brake lining gap
when released which sould be approx. 0.3 mm.
