Before leaving the equipment
CAUTION
Always stop the machine on level ground away from
traffic routes.

Lower the fork arms to the lowest position.
–
Turn off the key switch (1).
–
Press the emergency off switch (2).
–
If the machine is to be taken out of service
for an extended period, disconnect the bat-
tery connections.
NOTE
If the truck is to be decommissioned for more
than two months, it must be parked in a dry,
frost-free location.
NOTE
On decommissioning, the truck must be
jacked up so that all the wheels are clear of
the ground.This is the only way of ensuring
that the wheels and wheel bearings are not
damaged.
NOTE
Precautions prior to decommissioning

Thoroughly clean the truck.
●
Check the brakes.
●
Check the hydraulic oil level.Top up if re-
quired.
●
Apply a thin layer of oil or grease to all un-
painted mechanical components.
●
Lubricate the truck in accordance with the
lubrication schedule.
●
Disconnect the battery plugs, clean the bat-
tery and apply specialised grease to the ter-
minals.
●
Spay all exposed electrical contacts with a
suitable contact spray.
