5 Storing
– Wire gauge: 0.25 mm²
– Cable jacket: round
– Insulation: weather-proof, e.g. made of polyurethane
– Permissible temperature range: - 20°C up to + 85°C
► Strip about 5 mm (a) of insulation from the wires.
► Twist strands of wire so that all strands are tightly
together.
► Open the junction box (1).
► Push soil moisture sensor cable (2) and extension cable
(3) into the junction box (1).
► Connect wires (5) of sensor and wires (6) of extension
cable with a terminal block (4).
► Close the junction box (1).
► Hook up wires of cable to an irrigation controller in
accordance with the specified terminal assignment.
5.1 Storing the Soil Moisture Sensor
► Disconnect cable from irrigation controller.
► Check the following points when storing the soil moisture
sensor:
– Sensor is out of the reach of children.
– Sensor is clean and dry.
– Sensor is in an enclosed location.
6.1 Servicing and Repairing the Soil Moisture
Sensor
The soil moisture sensor cannot be serviced or repaired.
► If the soil moisture sensor needs to be serviced or
repaired: Replace the soil moisture sensor.
