► Press button on battery.
The LEDs glow or flash.
► If the LEDs do not glow or flash: Do not use
the battery and contact your STIHL servicing
dealer.
There is a malfunction in the battery.

Holding and Guiding the Vac‐

► Hook the carrier rings (2) into the carabiners

► Hold and control your vacuum shredder with
your left hand on the loop handle and your
right hand on the control handle. Wrap the
thumb of your left hand around the loop han‐
dle and the thumb of your right hand around
the control handle.

Vacuum Shredding
► Point the nozzle at the ground.
► Move forward slowly in a controlled manner.

Emptying the Catcher Bag
► Switch off the vacuum shredder and remove
the battery.
► Detach the catcher bag from the vacuum
shredder.
► Hold the catcher bag by the carrying ring in
such a way that no debris can fall out of the
opening.
► Fully unzip the catcher bag and properly dis‐
pose of the contents.
► Full close the zip.
► Attach the catcher bag to the vacuum shred‐
der.

► Remove the suction tube.
► Remove the catcher bag.

► Hold the vacuum shredder firmly with one
hand on the control handle (1).
► Pull the retaining latch (3) up and hold it there.
► Turn the loop handle (2) 45 degrees counter‐
clockwise.
► Release the retaining latch (3).
► Continue to turn the loop handle (2) counter‐
clockwise until it engages.
