7.2 SAFETY CHECKS
Familiarise yourself with the contents before
proceeding. Moreover, perform the following
safety checks and check that the results
correspond to those outlined on the tables.

7.3 STARTING / OPERATION
1.
Open the fuel tap (fig. 5.B).
2.
Insert the starter/safety key (fig. 5.A).
7.3.1 Cold start
1.
Move the throttle control to full capacity
(fig. 5.C).
2.
Engage the choke (fig. 5.D).
3.
Press the primer control
(fig. 5.H) two or three
times. Make sure the hole is covered by your
finger when you press the command.
4.
Start with the electrical (par. 7.3.4) or manual
control (par. 7.3.3).
5.
Disengage the choke (fig. 5.D).
IMPORTANT
Before operating the machine,
wait for a few minutes for the oil to warm up.
7.3.2 Warm start
1.
Move the throttle control to full capacity
(fig. 5.C).
2.
Check that the choke is disengaged (fig. 5.D).
3.
Start with the electrical or manual control (see
below).
IMPORTANT
Do not press the primer for warm
start.
7.3.3 Manual starting
To manually start the engine, slowly pull the grip
(fig. 5.F) outward, until a certain resistance is felt.
At that point, pull forcefully and accompany the
grip upon release.
Repeat the operation until the engine starts.
NOTE
Do not try more than 3/4 times,
otherwise the engine may be flooded. Check the
potential causes of failure to start in the "Problems
identification table".
7.3.4 Electrical starts
Make sure that the power supply
system is equipped with grounding
and protection system.

Insert the plug of the power supply cable
(fig. 5.H) in a 230 V power socket.
2.
Press the start button to start the engine (fig.
5.G).
3.
Once the engine starts, remove the plug from
the power supply.
