7.5.4 Troubleshooting overview

The column lift cannot be raised
Cause
Solution
No battery power.
Check the main fuse above the batteries. Have
the batteries checked by a battery specialist.
Oil level too low (but motor running).
Top up; see
Table 6.1 "Lubrication program"
There is air in the hydraulic pump (only
possible if the tank has been empty).
Select <SINGLE> operation and press the UP
button until the column lift rises (max. 1
minute).
The pressure relief valve has not been correctly
adjusted.
Contact technical services to have the valve
correctly adjusted.
The pump's capacity is inadequate.
Replace the pump.
The maximum height difference (more than 2
1/2") has been exceeded.
Cancel the fault by pressing <SELECT> and
<UNLOCK> for 2 seconds. If the fault occurs
again, contact technical services.

The column lift cannot be lowered
Cause
Solution
No battery power.
Check the main fuse above the batteries. Have
the batteries checked by a battery specialist.
The pawl does not retract from the safety lock. First raise the column lift about 35mm and then
lower it.
The electrically operated lowering valve on the
hydraulic unit will not open.
There is no voltage on the lowering valve or the
lowering valve is faulty. Have technical services
solve the problem.
Contaminated or damaged lowering valve.
Have the lowering valve cleaned or have it
replaced by technical services.
