Linking the column lifts
Sets comprising 2 to 8 columns can be put together using interconnection cables.
The linked columns are referred to as a
set
.
Several sets can be used next to one another in the same area. A maximum of 60
columns can be used.
The columns are absolutely identical. The columns work independently of the mains
supply. The mains supply is only required for loading the batteries.
The lifting capacity for the ST 1075 model is 16,500 lbs per column; a set of 4 can
therefore lift 66,000 lbs (max.).
Note
n
By default, the operating system will only accept an
even number of columns
.
This helps avoid situations where a column is not properly registered or missed out
accidentally while columns are being linked. After the link procedure, the number of
columns found is reported and this is continually visible on the screen. In specific
cases, the service team can disable this additional check.
4.3
Safety when hoisting
In principle, the individual and per-axle control over the column lifts is intended to
enable the vehicle to be raised horizontally, or alternatively to be lowered onto axle
supports.
