7.5.1 Troubleshooting overview

The column lift cannot be raised
Cause
Solution
No mains power/control power.
Check the mains power/control power.

Oil level too low (but motor running)

There is air in the hydraulic pump (only
possible if the tank has become empty).
Select <SINGLE> operation and press the UP
button until the column lift rises (max. 1
minute).
The pressure relief valve has not been correctly
adjusted.
Contact the technical service to correctly adjust
the valve.
The pump's capacity is inadequate.
Replace the pump.
The current has been interrupted by a thermal
relay in the control box of the main column.
Reset the thermal relay. If the fault occurs
again, contact the technical service.
The maximum elevation difference (more than
2 1/2") has been exceeded.
Set the main switch to
OFF
and
ON
. Press
twice the <SELECT> button to ensure the
system can again be used. If the fault occurs
again, contact the technical service.
The phases have not been correctly
connected. The red light (FAULT) is
continuously lit.
Exchange the two phases in the plug on the
supply cable or in the main box.

Cause

The Pawl does not retract from the safety lock. Fist allow the column lift to rise approx. 2" and,
next, allow it to lower.
The electrically operated lowering valve on the
hydraulic unit will not open.
There is no voltage on the lowering valve or the
lowering valve is faulty. Have the technical
service solve the problem.
Contaminated or damaged lowering valve.
Have the lowering valve cleaned or have it
replaced by the technical service.
