Si Multi Basket — Unloading

IMPORTANT

Before unloading instruments, inspect the basket for any hoses or connectors
that may have detached from instruments. If adapters have been used, make
sure that they have NOT detached from either the instrument shaft or the
basket flush port. An instrument that has detached from a hose connector or
adapter may NOT have been cleaned or disinfected satisfactorily.

Any instruments where a connector or adapter may have detached
should be reprocessed.

1.

Disconnect the luer hose from the instrument.

2.

Push the release tab on the basket flush port to
release the luer hose. Pull the luer hose to
disconnect it from the basket flush port.

3.

Inspect the luer hose for ruptures. Discard the
hose if in any doubt about it's condition.

Instrument will require reprocessing.

4.

If the instrument is attached to a single-site
hose or stapler adapter, disconnect the hose
from the basket flush port before attempting to
remove the instrument from the basket.
