4.

Open the lid slowly and partially to allow hot vapors to escape from the tank. When
hot vapors have escaped, the lid can be opened fully.

WARNING — Burn hazard

Temperatures within the equipment can reach +98 °C (+208 °F) during and
after operation.

l

Take care when opening the lid at the end of a wash cycle.

l

Allow sufficient time for items to cool before handling, cleaning, or
commencing maintenance procedures.

l

When removing the basket from a full tank of hot water, make sure that
gloves are suitably rated for thermal protection. Alternatively, wait until the
water temperature is below a safe limit for the PPE used.

5.

If the tank fluids are not acceptable for the next rewash, the tank can be emptied by
closing the lid, confirming reload, and then aborting the next cycle as soon as it
starts. See

Pausing or Aborting a Wash Cycle

on page 76.

6.

Wearing gloves suitably rated for thermal protection, remove the basket from the
full tank of fluids and move to an unloading area away from the sonic irrigator.

7.

Remove instruments from the basket. See the section on

Using Instrument Baskets

on page 31, and follow the unloading procedure specific to the basket type being
used.

8.

Load the basket with instruments to be processed in the next rewash cycle. See the
section on

Using Instrument Baskets

on page 31, and follow the loading procedure

(s) specific to the basket type being used.

9.

Slowly put the loaded basket into the tank full of fluids. Be careful of hot water
splashes.

10. Close the lid.

11. Touch

Reload Complete

on the display to

confirm the loading of instruments. The lid lock
is engaged.

12. The next rewash cycle starts immediately.
