3.8.3 Exhausting Phase
Control energizes automatic damper (4 out 8) for 1:30
minute. Once exhaust phase is complete, control de-
energizes automatic damper (4 out 8) and exhaust fan
relay (6 out 7).
3.9
SUMP pH NEUTRALIZATION
During neutralization phase, control keeps recircula-
tion pump (4 out 4) and header system energized. It
also keeps jet valve opened.
NOTE: "inject", "containment", "wait" and "mix" time
referred in the following section, are values that can be
set in service mode. There is an "inject", a "contain-
ment" and a "wait" time for each neutralizer pump.
IF pH is not within the allowed range, appropriate
pump is pulsed on and off until pH is within the
allowed range.
The ON time of the pump is the "inject" time if treat-
ment uses detergent and pH has not overshot. Other-
wise, the "containment" time, which is a shorter injec-
tion time to prevent overshooting, is used.
The OFF time of the pump is the "wait" time.
IF pH is within the allowed range:
When pH value is within the allowed range, water is
mixed for the "mix" time to ensure that water remains
within the allowed range. If water gets out of the
allowed range, control resumes injection.
If water is not within allowed pH range after 9 injec-
tions (default value adjustable in service mode) an
alarm is generated.
3.10 GUARANTEED COOL DOWN
TANK OPTION
3.10.1 Cooling Phase
If pH neutralization option (with pH meter controller)
is available, cool down tank mixing motor relay (5 out
7) is used to accelerate process in cool down tank.
If water in cool down tank is above 140.0
°
F [60.0
°
C]
(default value adjustable in service mode only). Con-
trol energizes drain cooling valve (4 out 13) for 3
minutes (default value adjustable in service mode
only). Once water temperature in cool down tank has
reached set point, control de-energizes drain cooling
valve (4 out 13).
If after 3 minutes (default value adjustable in service
mode only), water temperature in cool down tank is
still above 140.0
°
F [60.0
°
C] (default value adjustable
in service mode only), control gives an alarm.
If cool down tank high water level switch detects water
(1 in 11) for 3 consecutive seconds but cool down tank
low water level switch (1 in 12) does not detect water,
control gives an alarm.
3.10.2 pH Neutralization Phase (pH Meter Con-
troller)
During neutralization phase, control keeps cool down
tank mixing motor relay energized.
NOTE: "inject", "containment", "wait" and "mix" time
referred in the following section are values that can be
set in service mode. There is an "inject", a "contain-
ment" and a "wait" time for each neutralizer pump.
IF pH is not within allowed range:
Appropriate injection pump is pulsed on and off until
pH is within allowed range. The ON time of the pump
is the "inject" time if the treatment uses detergent and
pH has not overshot. Otherwise the "containment"
time, which is a shorter injection time to prevent over-
shooting, is used.
The OFF time of the pump is the "wait" time.
IF the pH is within allowed range:
When pH value is within allowed range, water is
mixed for the "mix" time to ensure water remains
within allowed range. If water gets out of allowed
range, control resumes injection.
If water is not within allowed pH range after 9 injec-
tions (default value adjustable in service mode) an
alarm is generated.
3.10.3 Dumping Phase
Once water in cool down tank is below 140.0
°
F [60.0
°
C]
(default value adjustable in service mode only) and/
or neutralized (only if option applies), control ener-
gizes cool down tank drain ball valve (6 out 4) for 3
minutes (default value adjustable in service mode
only). Once cool down tank draining phase is com-
plete, control de-energizes cool down tank drain ball
valve (6 out 4).
If after 3 minutes (default value adjustable in service
mode only), cool down tank low water level switch
(1 in 12) still detects water, control gives an alarm.
