7.2 Error messages
If an error message appears, proceed as follows:
1. Remedy the fault as described in the “Solution" column.
2. To clear the error message from the display, press the
STOP/OPEN key.
3. If necessary, repeat centrifugation.
Problem Cause Solution
IMBAL The rotor is loaded asymmetrically.  Load the rotor symmetrically and balance it.
NET INT Mains/power failure during a run.  Check the mains/power supply.
LID ERROR Centrifuge lid cannot be locked.  Try to close the centrifuge lid again.
Centrifuge lid cannot be released. 1. Switch off the centrifuge and wait for 20 s.
2. Switch on the centrifuge.
If the error occurs again:
1. Switch off the centrifuge.
2. Actuate the emergency lid release.
Prohibited opening of lid during a run or 1. Wait for the rotor to stop.

LID LIFT The centrifuge lid has not been opened  Open the centrifuge lid wider by hand.

If the error message appears again:

2. Tighten the rotor.
ERROR 10 Error during initialization or in the memory. 1. Switch off the centrifuge and wait for 20 s.
2. Switch on the centrifuge.
ERROR 16 Data communication error with the operation 1. Switch off the centrifuge and wait for 20 s.

ERROR 20 Drive overheated.  Allow the drive to cool down for at least 15 min.
