Do not operate fl ashlight in explosive environment, such
as in the presence of fl ammable liquids or gases.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY CHARGER & FLASHLIGHT
• A battery operated fl ashlight with integral
batteries must be recharged only with the
specifi ed charger for the batteries supplied
with the fl ashlight
. A charger which may be suitable for one
type of battery may create a risk of fi re when used with another battery.
•
Use only the batteries supplied with this fl ashlight
. Use of any other
batteries may create a risk of fi re.
•
The charger plug must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in
any way. If the plug does not fi t into your outlet consult an electrician.
• Do not expose the fl ashlight or charger to rain or wet conditions.
• Do not immerse fl ashlight or charger in liquids.
• Do not abuse the cord. Do not use the cord for carrying, pulling,
or unplugging the charger. Pull the plug instead of the cord when
disconnecting the charger.
• Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts.
• Protect power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plug
and exit point of the charger.
• Unplug the charger from the wall outlet during lighting storms.
• Do not use an extension cord.
• This power unit is intended to be correctly orientated in a vertical or fl oor
mount position.

Do not disassemble fl ashlight if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped
or otherwise damaged in anyway.

CHARGING WARNINGS AND NOTES

WARNING

Before using battery charger, read all instructions and cautionary markings
on the charger and fl ashlight.
•
Use only the charger supplied with the fl ashlight.
Do not substitute any
other charger. Use only the Stanley
®
approved charger supplied with the
fl ashlight.
•
Do not disassemble charger if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped
or otherwise damaged in anyway.
Incorrect reassembly or damage may
result in electric shock or fi re.
•
Do not recharge fl ashlight in a damp or wet environment. Do not expose
charger to rain or snow. If fl ashlight body is cracked or otherwise damaged,
do not charge.
Battery short or fi re may result.
•
For longest life and best performance obtained by batteries, charge
batteries when the air temperature is between 65ºF and 75ºF (18ºC- 24ºC).
DO NOT charge the batteries in an air temperature below 40ºF (4ºC) and
above 105ºF (40ºC).
This will prevent serious damage to the batteries.
•
Battery leakage may occur under extreme usage or temperature conditions.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
The battery liquid is caustic and could
cause chemical burns to tissues. If liquid comes in contact with skin, wash
quickly with soap and water, then lemon juice or vinegar. If the liquid
contacts your eyes, fl ush them with water for a minimum of 10 minutes and
seek medical attention. Liquid is a 25-35% solution of potassium hyroxide.
•
The fl ashlight can be left on the charger as long as you desire. A minimum
charge time of 10 hours is required to recharge a completely discharged
fl ashlight.
• Plug the charger into any standard household 120 volt 60 Hz outlet. NOTE:
Do not charge by means of a generator or DC power source.
• If the fl ashlight does not charge properly;
a) Check the current at receptacle by plugging in a lamp or other
appliance.
b) Check to see if receptacle is connected to a light switch which turns
power off when you turn out the light.
c) Move charger and fl ashlight to a location where the surrounding air
temperature is approximately 65ºF - 75ºF (18ºC- 24ºC).
• Do not operate charger with a damaged cord or plug.
• NEVER attempt to connect two or more chargers together.
• Only charge fl ashlight indoors with the charger supplied with the fl ashlight.
CHARGING THE FLASHLIGHT
Before attempting to charge your fl ashlight thoroughly read all of the safety
instructions.
To charge your fl ashlight follow the safety steps below.
• Average charging time after the fi rst charge is 8 hours.
• Plug the charger into any standard electric 120V AC outlet.
• Plug the charger into the fl ashlight on the back of the head.
MAINTENANCE
Use a damp cloth to clean the tool. Never allow any liquid to get inside the tool
and never allow any part of the tool to become immersed in a liquid.
BATTERY DISPOSAL
IMPORTANT: The fl ashlight is designed for easy disassembly of the batteries
for the sole purpose of battery disposal. The batteries are not replaceable.
It is not designed to be re-assembled by the consumer. Before attempting to
disassemble this fl ashlight turn on fl ashlight until batteries are completely
discharged. To disassemble the batteries remove the screw from the cap at
the bottom end of the fl ashlight body and remove cap. Slide batteries out of
fl ashlight body and dispose properly.
NICKEL – METAL HYDRIDE BATTERIES
The fl ashlight is equipped with nickel metal hydride batteries which can be
disposed of in a municipal solid waste stream. Check your local codes for
proper disposal.

WARNING
Do not attempt to disassemble the fl ashlight body or remove an
components. Fire or injury may result. Prior to disposal, protect exposed
terminals with heavy insulating tape to prevent shorting of the batteries.

WARNING
1. Do not put batteries into a fi re or expose to high heat. The batteries can
explode in a fi re. Check with local codes for possible special disposal
instructions.
2. Keep batteries out of the reach of children
3. Do not crush or destroy batteries.
