Digital Input Output Module for Zone 2
Series 9470/33
Replacing modules
Observe the following when replacing an IS1 module 9470/12 or 9471/12 with an
IS1+ module 9470/33 with the same functions:
• Ensure that the terminal assignment is adapted to that of the 9470/33.
• In order to use the new IS1+ functions, update the firmware of the 9440 CPM or
9441 CPU if necessary.
• If necessary, use a new GSD in PROFIBUS-DP operation.
• Please contact your responsible distributor for further information.
8.3
Installation
The cover flap features an insert disc which can be used to enter the assignment of the
field devices to the channels. IS Wizard can be used, for example, to label the insert disc.
• Connect the field devices to the pluggable terminals X1 and X2 according to terminal
assignment (see the "Project engineering" chapter or insert disc on the inside of the
protective cover).
• Place the field wiring shields (if available) as close to the entry point of the field
enclosure on the earthing rail as possible.
• Where necessary, snap the partition into place on the adjacent Ex i module.
• Plug the pluggable terminals X1 and X2 into the module and secure them against
loosening using screws (tightening torque 0.5 to 0.6 Nm).
When replacing the module with a module with identical design, the set
parameters are maintained. No further user adjustments are necessary.
When replacing the module with a module with a different function,
the module reports a configuration error (red "ERR" LED flashes).
The module must be either re-configured or replaced with a module of
correct type.
Operation under difficult conditions, such as, in particular, on ships, requires
additional measures to be taken for correct installation, depending on the
place of use. Further information and instructions on this can be obtained
from your regional sales contact on request.
The module and the pluggable terminals X1 and X2 can be safely connected
or disconnected during operation in the hazardous area (hot swap).
