Series 9192
Improper mounting, installation, commissioning, maintenance or cleaning
Basic work such as installation, commissioning, maintenance or cleaning of the device must
always be performed in accordance with the applicable national regulations of the country of
use and only by qualified persons. Otherwise, the explosion protection may be rendered
ineffective. This may result in explosions causing serious or even fatal injury to persons.
Have the assembly, installation, commissioning and maintenance work performed by
qualified and authorised persons only (see chapter 3.2).
Prior to commissioning, check the mounting for correctness (see Chapter 7).
When used in Zone 2, the device is to be installed in a protective enclosure or in a cabinet
according to IEC/EN 60079-0. This enclosure (or cabinet) has a suitable degree of
protection (at least IP54).
The device may only be operated in environments not exceeding degree of pollution 2.
In hazardous areas, operate the rotary switch of the device only in a de-energised state.
The connections on the signal circuits are provided for connection to low-energy electrical
circuits and equipment (IEC/EN 60079-15 ch. 13). Otherwise, external measures must be
implemented in order to prevent the rated voltage being exceeded by more than 40%.
For connection to devices in the ISpac series, this requirements is generally fulfilled
(see corresponding EU EC Type Examination Certificate).
Do not change or modify the device.
Gently clean the device with a damp cloth only – do not use scratching, abrasive or
aggressive cleaning agents or solutions.
