Test 1005: HPLS Calibration

With the boiler full of water, hook up an air hose to
the boiler test port to simulate pressure.
Slowly pressurize the boiler while monitoring the
boiler pressure. Take note at what pressure the HPLS
trips and whether adjustment is necessary.
Trip Point: 15 psi
Loosen the set screw with a 5/64” Allen key.
Set the multimeter to read ohms Ω. Then connect the
two leads to the two wires in the HPLS. There should
be continuity until the HPLS trips.
If adjustment is needed, release pressure in the boiler
by opening one of the pigtail valves. The drop in
pressure resets the HPLS.
Adjust the HPLS trip point by rotating the nut:
Clockwise to increase psi.
Repeat steps until trip point is ±0.25 psi of the target.
