About the app
The Weasel
®
Lite app is an android application which enables communicating with your Weasels,
especially while they are waiting for new instructions at a station. Communication is established via
Bluetooth Low Energy. You don’t have to worry about how to set up or config
ure Bluetooth Low Energy.
Your Weasels and the app were already configured in the factory.

3.1 Installation
When you have received tablets with the app preinstalled (e.g. with your Weasel
®
Lite Starter Kit), you
don’t have to install the app yourself. If you prefer your own devices, the app is available separately for
Android tablets or smartphones. Please note that your device must run Android Version 6.0 or higher
and support Bluetooth Low Energy (both sending and receiving). Most devices as from Bluetooth 4.0
will support this, but some don't. If in doubt, please consult the manufacturer.
Before starting the app, ensure that the
Bluetooth
and
Location
tracking functions of your device
are enabled. Both options are generally needed for technical reasons for receiving Bluetooth Low
Energy signals with Android. Both options can normally be enabled via the quick start settings. Simply
swipe down from the top of your screen and enable the require functions.
3.2 Use
Tablets and smartphones running the Weasel
®
Lite app should not be used for other applications.
To avoid malfunction, you should
only install/run apps which are absolutely essential for
correct operation
. For safety reasons, the device
must not be connected to WLAN
nor any other
network.
