Remove the preload adjuster knob screw.
Remove the knob.
Press down firmly and squarely on the socket wrench and unthread the
top cap.
NOTICE
To avoid damage to the top cap hex, use a socket with a flat sharp
edged surface. File the edge of the 24 mm socket attachment flat as
needed.
Remove the coil spring assembly.
Remove the top cap from the coil spring.
