Title:

Link 150 M3 Specifications.

New Features:

The Link 150 M3 now has the ability to select a PBX type.  There will be a new
series of part numbers to identify the different MCU types.  There will be 6
types of MCUs.  They are listed in the table below along with the PBX type
that each supports.
The Link 150 M3 now has the capability for SpectraLink to update its software
remotely.  This is done via the internal modem in the MCU.

New Alarms:

When the MCU is first powered on, it will alarm.  The alarm is due to the fact
that it does not have a PBX type selected.  The alarm will be the Error LED
and all 5 Status LEDs.  The PBX type must be selected before the system will
run.  To clear this alarm, select a PBX type (see the Link 150 M3 Installation
Manual).
The other alarm will appear if you select a PBX type that is not supported by
that type of MCU.  For example, if you select a PBX type of Mitel on a
SCU516.  The alarm that is displayed at this time, is the Error LED and Status
LEDs 4 and 5.  To clear this alarm, select a PBX type that is supported by that
MCU (See table below).

Model 2 vs. M3:

If a customer has an existing 150 Model 2 system and would like to expand
their system, they will be unable to use a Link 150 M3 in their system.  The
customer needs to have a Link 150 Model 2 to be able to expand.  A Link 150
M3 MCU can not operate with a Link 150 Model 2 MCU.
