Fibre Channel
The Fibre Port Setup screen allows you to configure the connection type for your Fibre
Channel interface. The WWN is identified here. Once you make any changes to the
configuration, select
Change
.
To configure the Fibre Channel port, use the following options:
Use hard loop ID:
If you select a Hard loop ID, you will be asked to provide a loop ID
number. A
soft
address, provided by a hub or switch, will be used if the box is
not checked.
Hard Loop ID:
Select a loop ID between 0-125. This is only necessary with a hard loop ID.
Connection Type:
Select Auto Loop, Fabric, or Loop for the fibre connection mode.
Enable Initiator Mode:
This option should be enabled for Serverless Backup. Otherwise,
this option should be disabled, unless your environment is able to handle
multiple fibre initiators on the same loop.
Set to Defaults:
Select this if you want the default parameters reset.
Change:
Select
Change
to save parameters.
