Disassembly Instructions

There are 3 versions of the Snowball chair. All three Snowball’s

are available with or without arms, in four-point-to-the-floor,

sled base and stool designs, freestanding, or connected. The

standard width size of the Snowball range is 18”, but is also

offered in the 22” midsize and the 26”  Bariartric.  Included in the

Snowball family is the Snowflake children's line.  The Snowballs

are also offered with several accessory options such as storage

basket, foot rest, and tablet arm.

Tools:

Phillips head or Robertson screwdriver, box cutter knife,

hammer or rubber mallet, pliers.

Skill Set:

Good manual dexterity.

Estimated Time:

10min per chair.

Steps:

1.  Back  - 4min

On the Snowball 1 and 3, the back rest fastening plates are

exposed at the rear of the back rest. Locate the four

fasteners and unfasten. Remove back rest from the chair

frame.

For Snowball 2 lines and other custom orders, the fastening

plates may be concealed behind upholstery. In this event,

carefully cut through the upholstery on the back side of the

back rest with a box cutter or sharp knife. Position the cuts

to the left and right sides of the back rest (It may be helpful

to locate the fastening plates by feel). Pull away upholstery

on either side until fasteners are exposed. Once the

fastening plate is sufficiently exposed, remove the back rest

by unscrewing the four fasteners. Remove the back rest

from the chair frame.

2.  Seat - 2min

Turn the chair upside down to access the underside of the

seat panel. Locate the four fasteners located on the

underside of the seat pan and unfasten. Remove the seat

panel from the chair frame.

3.  Feet Glides - 1min

Once both the seat and back are removed from the frame,

re-position the chair upside down to access glides. With

pliers, firmly grasp the glide and wiggle upward until free.

Repeat process for all four feet.

4.  Armrest - 2min

Place the chair frame on its side.  With a rubber mallet or

hammer, knock the underside of the arm rest. Continue to

knock until the armrest is free from the frame. This process

may require some force. Flip the chair to the opposing side

and repeat the process.

5.  Upholstered components. - 5min

Remove staples from the underside of the seat pan with

pliers. For seat back, make an incision around the perimeter

of the panel approximately 3 inches from the bottom. Once

you have cut all the way through, slip the upholstery cover

off the plywood panel. Pry foam seating pads away from the

plywood seat. Spec’s most recent Snowball models may

contain a recycled plastic seat.
