To view a waveform in the Alarm History window (for ECG
and invasive pressure alarms only)
1
Touch an alarm event to show a compressed 30 second waveform with 3
second markers.
2
Touch the magnifying glass button to show an uncompressed 6 second view
of the same waveform with 1 second markers.
The slide arrows let you scroll back and forward within the alarm event.
3
Touch the up and down arrows to look forward or go back to previous
waveform events.
Note:
The 30-second waveform begins approximately 15 seconds before the monitor
received notice of the alarm.
Alarm Acknowledge
If you are in a situation in which the visual and audible alarm notifications are
disruptive, you can use the alarm acknowledge feature to pause the audio and
some of the visual indicators. If an alarm can be acknowledged:
• the parameter key stops flashing but continues to show the color of the alarm
priority,
• the alarm limits flash,
• the alarm message in the waveform zone continues to flash in the color of the
alarm priority,
• the Audio Off icon shows in the parameter zone next to the alarm message.
Alarm acknowledge continues until:
• the original alarm condition resolves,
• a different alarm condition for the same parameter occurs (for example, an
ECG low rate alarm is acknowledged, then an asystole alarm occurs),
• an extreme alarm violation of the same alarm occurs (for example, an ECG high
rate alarm is acknowledged, then an ECG extreme rate alarm occurs),
Note:
Alarm acknowledge is different than Alarms Paused. If you touch the Alarms
Paused icon, no alarms show or sound for three minutes, depending on your
monitor configuration.
