90479-B/C Modular Receiver Housing
Incoming RF signals from the diversity antenna system are
connected via an F-type female bulkhead connector to the ANT 1
and ANT 2 input connectors on the rear panel. These connectors are
part of a cable assembly that connects to the input of an eight-way
splitter (one for each antenna).
The splitter outputs are routed, via dual-RF coaxial cable assemblies,
to the module front panel antenna input connectors. For each of the
eight dual coaxial cable assemblies, one side connects to the output
ports of the eight-way splitter F-type right-angle male connectors,
and the other end connects to two separate BNC right angle 50-
ohm connectors. One cable connects to the ANT 1 splitter output,
while the other connects to the ANT 2 splitter output. The dual RF
coaxial cable assemblies are routed out of the front bezel of a
90479-B/C to BNC connectors, which plugs directly into the
receiver module.
Analog Output
The 90479-A/B/C also provides analog high-level ECG output
connectors on the rear panel. Two outputs are available for each
module on J500 and J600. Refer to Drawing 13 for details.
Power Supply
The switching power supply provides regulated ±12 V and +5 V
outputs to both module plug-in cages and pr12 V to the RF
preamp/splitter PCBA and the two fans (refer to
). The
power supply also charges the backup battery pack. This battery
pack consists of two, +6 V, sealed, lead-acid cells connected in
series to provide at least 10 minutes of emergency power to the
module housing on a full charge. All module functions are
maintained during battery operation.
