CONNECTING THE TISS SYSTEM 

Description: The TISS (Tube Integrity Safety System) is designed to shut the main burner off in the event that a 
burnout  occurs  in  the  first  10ft.  section  of  firing  tube.  Note:  When  replacing  the  firing  tube  a  new  TISS  wire 
assembly PN 44176510 (spring and spring retainer clamp not included) must also be installed. 
Instructions:

 

1.

 

Make  sure  that  the  gap  between  the  burner  box  and 

end  of  reflector  is  3”  and  the  reflector  is  securely 

attached to the reflector support bracket.  Make adjustments if necessary.

Failure to maint

ain 3” gap as shown

 will result in pre-mature TISS wire failure.

Un-roll the TISS wire assembly from the spool. Be careful not to kink the wires.
