Moving Table to Preset Position
Feed Rate
Setting Feed Rate
Feed Rate ..............................................10–30 FPM
The infeed and outfeed rollers move the
workpiece through the planer while keeping it
flat and providing a consistent rate of movement.
The speed that these rollers move the workpiece
through the planer is the feed rate.
Generally, low feed rates are used for
dimensioning passes, while higher feed rates are
used for finishing passes.
Use the FEED SPEED control knob (see
Figure 32) to adjust the feed rate according
workpiece type and desired results.
